The History of The Parachute Regimental Association
The Parachute Regimental Association (PRA) was formed at the end of WWII to further the interests of the Parachute Regiment and to organise functions, events and other activities for members to continue the close associations they had forged with other airborne soldiers during their service with the Regiment and Airborne Forces.
In partnership with the Airborne Forces Security Fund, and other ex-services charities, the PRA provides welfare, support and guidance to those in need or distress, and the Grimsby & Cleethorpes Branch constantly endeavours to live up to these principles.
We are extremely proud to have had Arnhem Veterans within our ranks, and sadly, many of our members are no longer with us. Our determination to return the branch and our association to its former glory, with the recruitment of those who have served in the Airborne Forces, will make the PRA and all of our branches as strong as ever before.
